"Inferni" Vindicator - Creature Concept Design

Design Process for the Vindicator, a creature for my final year project titled 'Inferni'. It is a survival horror game inspired by Dante's Inferno that mainly focuses on creature design, with creatures being based off each of the nine circles of hell. The Vindicator is a mid-game boss, inspired by the Anger circle, that stalks the player relentlessly throughout the level until a final confrontation near the end. My idea for this creature was inspired by how Dante describes anger as a love for justice that has been perverted into revenge, a lot of elements in the design are inspired by medieval punishments and the figure of lady justice, such as the scales and blindfold.
